The topics of our investigations on tokamaks TM-1-MH, CASTOR, COMPASS, TORE SUPRA and TEXTOR
|
- LH Current Drive (see publications: 1-7, 10-12, 16*, 18, 21, 23, 26, 29*, 31*, 35*, 70):
- By means of lower Hybrid (LH) waves (multijunction grill, 1.25 GHz, 40 kW)
the non-inductive, so-called current drive is generated in tokamak and plasma
characteristics are studied in these conditions.
- Design and construction of quasi-optical grill for excitation of slowed-down lower
hybrid waves
(10 GHz, 10 kW) in tokamak.
- Formation of the wave of LSE polarization for quasi-optical grill and UHF waveguide
tract construction-tuning.
- Experiments on tokamak with quasi-optical grill.
- Investigation of plasma turbulent characteristics (see publications: 8, 9, 13-15, 19, 22, 24, 25, 27*, 29*,
31*, 38-46, 67-69, 71-82):
- Investigation of regular turbulent structures in plasma and development of methods for
their external control (electrode and UHF biasing).
- Investigation of the characteristics of intermittent plasma density bursts at the edge of
tokamak two-dimensional flux-driven fluid code and study of their role in plasma transport towards the wall.
- Investigation of the characteristics of intermittent plasma density bursts at the edge of
tokamak TORE SUPRA and comparison of results with modeling which is performed by
two-dimensional flux-driven fluid code TOKAM-2D.
- Comparative analysis of intermittent density bursts at the edge of CASTOR
and TORE SUPRA tokamaks.
- Investigation of the characteristics of intermittent plasma density bursts at the edge of
tokamak TEXTOR and comparison of results with modeling which is performed by
three-dimensional flux-driven electromagnetic fluid code ATTEMPT.
- Study of dynamic ergodic divertor (DED) influence on plasma turbulence in the
TEXTOR tokamak via investigation of intermittent bursts and comparative analysis with electrode and UHF biasing
- Comparative analysis of intermittent density bursts at the edge of CASTOR,
TORE SUPRA and TEXTOR tokamaks.
- UHF diagnostics (see publications: 16*, 17, 20, 27*, 28, 30, 32, 33, 35*, 36, 37, 47*-66*):
- Design of the scheme of the triple frequency (29, 33, 35 GHz) O- and X- Mode
poloidal and toroidal correlation reflectometer, its construction, installation on tokamak CASTOR,
tuning and experiments by its use.
- Construction of the 32 channel (17-40 GHz) radiometer for registration of EC-EBW
waves radiated from CASTOR tokamak plasma, its tuning and experiments by its use.
- Determination of dielectric properties ( ε and tg δ) of the ceramic materials sprayed
coatings on metallic plate by means of UHF methods.

The topic of our investigations on the tokamak COMPASS and COMPASS-U will be again turbulent characteristics of
plasma and their comprehensive analysis. Also our task is to equip it with UHF diagnostic equipments
(see publications:47*-66*):

- Design and construction of 2-mm range interferometer, installation of waveguide tracts
on tokamak and tuning of interferometer. Experiments on tokamak and data exchange
connection with database.
This interferometer already functions.
- Design and construction of triple range (26.5 – 40, 60 – 74.5, 76.5 - 90 GHz) 16
channel radiometer for registration of EC-EBW radiation of plasma. Tuning of the
radiometer and experiments by its use.
This radiometer already functions.
- Design and construction of wide-range (18-72 GHz) reflectometer the frequency of
which changes in continuous manner. Installation of the reflectometer on tokamak, its
tuning and experiments by its use.
This reflectometer already functions..
- Millimeter range dopler reflectometer design, fabrication, mounting on the tokamak,
tuning and experimental investigations
planned for the end of 2017.
